Garden with your Children

Although gardening with your child may not be the easiest task in the world (try explaining the difference between weeds and plants to an 18 month old!).... it is a wonderful opportunity for you to spend time with your child outdoors, to teach them about plants, and to show them where food comes from. My son gets a kick out of picking strawberries from the yard and eating them. Herb gardens that have a variety of smells are also great for kids. It develops their senses with different smells, textures, and colors.
If your child is old enough, and you have the space, give them their own area to garden. Let them plant whatever they want and watch it grow! Pin It Now!
